The 2013-14 ASA Leadership At Its Best Class graduated this week in Washington, D.C., after spending two days of in-depth advocacy training and Hill visits. The Leadership At Its Best program is sponsored by Syngenta and develops leadership, communications and advocacy skills in farmers who have already shown potential to be strong leaders through positions held on their state soybean association boards. This select group of farmer-leaders participated in the first part of their training this past summer at Syngenta’s offices in Minnesota. This week, their training focused primarily on how to advocate for issues important to soybean farmers in Washington.  Their visit to the nation’s Capitol concluded with a day of Hill visits with their state associations.

ASA congratulates this year’s Leadership At Its Best Class on successful completion of this valuable program. Click here to see the complete list of participants. ASA will begin collecting nominations for next year’s class soon. For more information, contact Michelle Hummel in the ASA office at mhummel@soy.org.
