ASA farmer leaders and staff attended the 2014 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa this week, where they spoke with ag media on the policy issues impacting the nation’s soybean farmers, including the potential effect of EPA’s Waters of the U.S.; the RFS and biodiesel’s continued wait for 2014 volume numbers; GMO labeling and the approvals framework for biotechnology traits here in the U.S., in China and in other foreign markets, trade and other important topics. ASA also had a booth in the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) tent, where they met farmers from across the country.
