“We’re thrilled to be bringing Commodity Classic to New Orleans for the first time ever – a city famous for great food and Southern hospitality,” said Alabama soybean farmer and American Soybean Association (ASA) Commodity Classic Co-Chair Sam Butler. “It’s going to be a world-class event with a bigger-than-ever trade show, terrific educational and networking opportunities, and lots of exciting new things planned for our growers.”

Full registration includes admission to what will be the largest trade show in Commodity Classic history; a ticket to ASA’s Awards Banquet on Friday, March 4 from 6-9 p.m., (based on space availability, and not guaranteed), access to all educational sessions, the Friday general session, the main stage presentations on the trade show floor, Saturday’s evening of entertainment, featuring award-winning country music group Sawyer Brown, lunch and snacks served at the trade show, and for growers, their families, media, state and/or national commodity organization staff, full registration also includes the welcome reception on Wednesday evening. Full registration also entitles attendees to complimentary access to video recordings of all 2016 educational sessions, which will be available online following the 2016 Commodity Classic.

The fee for full registration is $190 for dues-paying members of the National Corn Growers Association, American Soybean Association, National Association of Wheat Growers and the National Sorghum Producers. After January 14, that cost increases to $215.

Attendees who are not members of these associations can register for $290 until January 14.  That cost increases to $315 following the deadline.

In addition, discounts are available for spouses and youth.  Children 14 and under can attend at no charge when accompanied by a registered adult. One-day registrations are also available, with early registration discounts ending on January 14 as well.

Along with all the exciting speakers and presentations during Commodity Classic 2016, ASA will also hold its Awards Banquet on Friday, March 4 from 6-9 p.m. The annual dinner, sponsored by the United Soybean Board (USB), DuPont Pioneer and Monsanto BioAg, brings together ASA members from across the country to recognize and celebrate successes, accomplishments and education of the many farmer-leaders, soybean associations and industry representatives who have done outstanding work to benefit the U.S. soybean farmers and industry.

Awards are presented for ASA membership and association outstanding achievements, leadership building, conservation stewardship and industry accomplishments and support. The banquet entertainment this year features comedian Jay Hendren, an Ohio farmer who draws from his experiences for some good-clean humor.
