ASA and USB farmer-leaders meet with industry representatives and affiliated state soybean organizations at the ASA Action Partnership Meeting. Members of the American Soybean Association’s (ASA) Action Partnership (ASAAP) met in Boston, Mass. this week to discuss key issues facing the soybean industry. Trade was a central part of the discussion for the grower and industry leaders attending the meeting. The program also included updates on the United Soybean Board’s (USB) high oleic oil project, transportation and water issues. ASA’s Washington Staff was also on hand to provide updates and answer questions.
In addition to discussion on key industry issues, the meeting had a future focus and included presentations on technology, The International Perspective on Gene Editing and Ag Industry Start-Ups: The New Frontier.
ASAAP is a collaborative effort between all soybean industry sectors with a stake in the growth and profitability of the industry. The forum provides the opportunity for ASA’s state affiliates, state and national checkoff organizations, industry partners and national grower leaders to engage in essential dialogue that will preserve and protect the interests of agriculture and the soybean industry.
