U. S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC), United Soybean Board (USB), Philippine Red Cross,Caritas Philippines, Inc., Thailand’s Greenspot and Asia Brewery, Inc. (ABI), worked together to serve soymilk to over 100,000 survivors of 2013’s Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

Typhoon Haiyan was the strongest recorded typhoon in Philippine history, killing over 6,000 people and leaving many homeless. USSEC’s continued effort to build relationships with the Philippine’s soybean industry is what lead to them being asked to facilitate identifying those in greatest need for the Soymilk Promotion Program.
