United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Deputy Secretary Krysta Harden discussed how agricultural development abroad leads to long term market development and access for U.S. agricultural products last week with the International Agricultural Development working group.
Harden had just returned from a trip to Guatemala and Honduras where she saw a number of agricultural development projects and even met with the American Soybean Association/World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (ASA/WISHH) staff about their work. She emphasized the important role U.S. agriculture and USDA play in promoting poverty alleviation through agricultural development abroad.
The American Soybean Association is a Co-Chair of the International Agricultural Development working group.
