Recently, the U. S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) took a trip to Vietnam to visit a new cooperator feed mill. SEA Lukas Manomaitis, USSEC’s Aquaculture Program Lead Technical Consultant and Vo Hoang Nguyen, Aquaculture Technical Consultant, traveled to Long An Province to meet with the Chinese Techbank feed mill firm. The new cooperator feed mill will assist USSEC in creating the first offshore cage farm demonstration; which will lower the U.S. soy protein concentrate (SPC)-optimized feeds.

With the new feed mill, USSEC hopes to guide the marine fish culture industry to offshore approaches, expand offshore cage culture of marine fish and showcase the value and utility of U.S. Soy, particularly U.S. SPC, which will lead to high quality feeds being needed in large amounts.
