Coleman, an Iowa soybean grower and American Soybean Association (ASA) director, describes how WISHH secured funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and other non-checkoff sources to grow markets in countries where there is little use of U.S. soy.
Coleman says WISHH’s work in Pakistan as an example. WISHH’s USDA-funded Feeding Pakistan project launched demand for soy-based feeds in the Asian country. Pakistan’s demand for U.S. soy has grown, so WISHH is transitioning the country to U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) for further development.
