What Does Conservation Look Like on Your Farm?

Jul 18, 2013

Conservation Legacy Awards logoThere’s still time to submit your application to the 13th Annual Conservation Legacy Awards Program – the deadline is August 5. You could be one of the next regional Conservation Legacy winners and receive a trip for two to the 2014 Commodity Classic in San Antonio, Texas.

Presented by the American Soybean Association (ASA), the Conservation Legacy Awards Program recognizes U.S. soybean farmers who distinguish themselves through outstanding environmental and conservation practices while farming profitably.

Entries will be judged in five areas: soil management, water management, input management, farmstead protection, and conservation and environmental management. All U.S. soybean farmers are eligible to enter.

Winners from three regions (Midwest, Northeast and South) receive an expense-paid trip for two to the next Commodity Classic, Feb. 27–March 1, 2014, in San Antonio, Texas. The regional winners will be featured in video stories and a special insert in Corn & Soybean Digest. A national Conservation Legacy Award winner will be chosen from the regional winners.

The Conservation Legacy Awards Program is sponsored by ASA, BASF, Monsanto, the United Soybean Board/soybean checkoff and Corn & Soybean Digest.

Submissions are due by Aug. 5. All applications must be submitted online. See the brochure and application at: https://soygrowers.com/award-programs/conservation-legacy/.
