The American Soybean Association/World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (ASA/WISHH) met with local program partners in Senegal and Burkina Faso this week to discuss promotion and awareness of U.S. soy products.
Africa Regional Director Josh Neiderman met with Guindo & Co., implementer of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Market Access Program (MAP) funded information campaign for promotion and awareness of U.S. soy products. Along with Mamadou Bousso, WISHH consultant for Francophone Africa, Neiderman also met with local supply chain partner Sensoy, USDA Foreign Agriculture Services (FAS) and livestock feed producers.
In Burkina Faso, Neiderman and Bousso met with the local supply chain partner and their buyers of defatted soy flour for the baking industry. Visits were also made to local poultry producers, and the WISHH delegation held a meeting with representatives of the U.S. State Department and the United States Agency of International Development (USAID).
