On June 24, three individuals from Uganda attended a capabilities training on ways to utilize soy in meat products at DuPont/Solae. The Ugandan contingent traveled to Solae with Marcus Hamilton, Meat Applications Technical Consultant for ASA’s WISHH program; Erica Morrow, WISHH Program Manager-Africa; and Josh Neiderman, WISHH Project Officer-Africa.

Colleen Trater, Solae Applications Platform Lead, and Felix Johnson, Associate Director for Meat Solutions, spent the entire day with the delegation. They covered a wide-range of issues related to soy inclusion in meat processing.

The group traveled to St. Louis after spending the previous week at Utah State University participating in a training course focused on the inclusion of soy in meat products.
