WISHH is sharing soy trade and risk management expert insights with current and potential buyers from Africa and Asia during two webinars that WISHH will host on March 30. Many companies that work with WISHH have no formal training on risk management so the webinars will introduce them to important strategies that will strengthen their ability to purchase U.S. soy.
Each webinar session will inform U.S. soy importers and buyers with businesses of all sizes about how to manage risk and effectively communicate with U.S. exporters. WISHH will also schedule follow-up one-on-one meetings for attendees with the speakers.
Expert presenters for the 90-minute webinars are North Dakota State University Crop Economist Frayne Olson, Ph.D., and Greg Lickteig, a private consultant with more than 25 years of experience in supply chain management and grain trade. Olson will share how importers and buyers can use basic risk management tools to secure a future predictable price. Lickteig will present how importers of all sizes can better communicate with U.S. exporters.
The North Dakota Soybean Council is supporting WISHH in this educational programming, which WISHH will host twice on Tuesday, March 30. Africa-based attendees will join a webinar at 8 a.m. CST and then Asia-based attendees will participate in the second session that starts at 10:30 p.m. CST.
