The American Soybean Association’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (ASA/WISHH) program Executive Director was in Milwaukee this week at meetings and a conference led by USSEC and the Midwest Shippers Association. Also present were ASA Board of Director and WISHH Committee member Bret Davis and a host of other grower leaders from the ASA, USB and Qualified State Soybean Boards (QSSBs).
The event provided WISHH with the opportunity to coordinate with regional directors and program managers from Singapore and Guadalajara, and with potential suppliers of soy to countries where WISHH is building markets. Several exporters showed interest in the recent USDA funded assessments of soy foods markets in Myanmar/Burma and the feed and poultry industries in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal.
