World Soy Foundation (WSF) board member Jim Hershey met with John Deere Executives in Kansas City, Mo. on a recent trip. John Deere is the most recent founding member of the WSF. Hershey met with Geoff Andersen, manager of Global Citizenship and Strategic Planning Deere & Company. The John Deere Foundation is one of the sponsors of the World Soy Foundation/World Initiative for Soy in Human Health Midwest Workshop to be held in June at the National Soybean Research Laboratory in Champaign-Urbana. This year’s theme is “Practical Implementation of Quality School Feeding Programs.”
Hershey also met with Don Borgman, who is retiring from John Deere and Don’s replacement Charles (Chuck) Studer, as director of agricultural industry relations, U.S. and Canada.
