Dave first served on the South Dakota Soybean Board for 10 years before becoming an American Soybean Association Director. For the past five years, Dave has served on the ASA Board and is currently on the Membership and Corporate Relations Committee.
While serving on the ASA Board, Dave was first introduced to the World Soy Foundation through members Dave Iverson and Jim Hershey. Overtime, Dave began hearing more about the Foundation from other farmers involved and supporting, including Jack Trumbo, Scott Fritz and Bob Metz. Dave says, “I know Dave Iverson and Bob Metz as we’re all from South Dakota. They knew the history of the Foundation and really showed me what it was all about.”
Dave now serves as a World Soy Foundation Board Member as Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee.
“The foundation is a neat way for farmers to help those in need who are less fortunate,” Dave said. “The WSF does some great things with soy to help children in different parts of the world.”
