World Soy Foundation Kicks Off its 2014 Acre Challenge Campaign

Nov 07, 2013

Help us Reach our Goal—Accept the Challenge Today! 10 percent AC (feeding)

You – just one person – can make a life-changing difference in the lives of malnourished children with the value of just one acre of your soybeans. You can help hungry children like those in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, who receive a serving of protein-rich soymilk as part of their school lunch program, made possible by contributions to the World Soy Foundation.

WSF partner, CEPUDO produces soymilk by processing soybeans through a machine called a “soycow”. The process only takes about 20 minutes and converts four pounds of U.S. soybeans into about four gallons of soymilk. Students receive a serving of nutritious soymilk with their lunch meal. For some children, this is the only protein they will consume that day.

According to Carlos Coello of CEPUDO, “It’s been years since these children have had soymilk in their school lunch program - the protein will truly make a difference in their lives.”

The World Soy Foundation’s Acre Challenge Program is a way for you to help. With your support, the World Soy Foundation can reach even more children.  Donate the value of ONE ACRE OF SOYBEANS today---Your gift will make a significant impact in the lives of children and families as the World Soy Foundation strives to reduce malnutrition through the Power of Soy.  Join the Acre Challenge and give the gift of protein today!  (donate now button) .

To participate in the Acre Challenge simply calculate the value of an acre of soybeans in your operation (yield multiplied by price).
