David Johanson serves as international trade advisor for the American Soybean Association, bringing extensive experience in international trade and agricultural policy. He spent nearly 15 years as a commissioner at the U.S. International Trade Commission, including two full terms as chairman. Previously, Johanson worked for eight years as international trade counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance where he advised Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa on agricultural trade matters, including soybean-related trade. Earlier in his career, Johanson practiced international trade law in the private sector.
