The biodiesel tax credit lapsed at the end of 2016 and its reinstatement is vital to the biodiesel industry.
During consideration of the comprehensive tax reform bill that was enacted in December, congressional leaders agreed to address expired tax credits in a seperate tax extenders package.
Supporters are urging that the tax extenders be attached to the first available vehicle, such as the upcoming CR which is needed to keep the government operating.
So, ASA is asking soy growers to contact their congressional offices through the Soy Action Center and ask them to urge Leadership to attach the tax extenders package to any upcoming 'must pass' legislation, such asthe next CR that will be considered prior to February 8.
