Today is National Farmers’ Day; a day to celebrate the farmers who toil through holidays and inclement weather, who wake up with the sun and don’t call it a day until the work is done. Today is a day to say thank you.
Fifty years ago one farmer fed 26 people but today, because of advancements in technology, seed improvements, sustainability and more, one farmer feeds 165 people.
The world’s population is growing, yet U.S. farmers continue to produce the safest, most affordable and abundant food supply the world has ever known. That’s no small feat and ASA is proud to support, work for and defend farmers’ freedom to operate.
Join ASA on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to say thank you to soy growers across the country and to share your agriculture story.
