ASA Announces Winners in ASA Recruiter All-Stars Tournament

The clock shows all zeros and the final buzzer has sounded. The results are in and ASA is pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 ASA All-Stars Recruiter Tournament. The bracket winners were determined by recruiter results from April and May combined.

State Level One bracket winners are Robert Nelsen (Minn.) with 23 recruits in April and May and 108 total recruits. Jim Miller (Neb.) finished with 14 recruits in April and May and 58 total recruits.

State Level Two bracket winners are Caleb Ragland (Ky.) with 14 recruits in April and May and 33 total recruits. Jed Clark (Ky.) won in a drawing as he and Gerry Hayden (Ky.) tied for the two-month period.

State Level Three bracket winner is Tommy Hines (Va.) with 13 recruits in April and May and 26 total recruits.

Each of these winners will receive a $300 cash prize and a trip to Washington, D.C. and will be recognized at the ASA Board meeting on July 9.

ASA would also like to thank all of the finalists who worked very hard this year. State Level One finalists were Ross Pauli (Ill.), Mark Johnson (Minn.), Earl Ziegler (Minn.), Doug Toreen (Minn.), Roger Dale (Minn.) and Ron Bunjer (Minn.). State Level Two finalists wereTodd Hanten (S.D.), John Krutzfeldt (S.D.), Kenneth Schulte (S.D.) and Gerry Hayden. The State Level Three finalist was Todd Dumond (N.Y.).

The ASA All-Stars Recruiter Tournament matched 128 of ASA’s top recruiters in head-to-head matchups. During the entire tournament period these top recruiters recruited or renewed more than 700 soybean producers.

"The Recruiter Tournament is a fun, yet competitive way, for these dedicated soybean producers to get other soybean producers to join the important work ASA and our state organizations are doing to promote and protect their freedom to operate," said Bob Worth, ASA Member & Corporate Relations Committee Chair.
